Jay Lynn Adams, the son of Ward and Marlene Adams, was born February 23, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He quietly returned to his Father in Heaven on September 19, 2010 at the age of 53.

Jay grew up in Granger/West Valley and graduated from Granger High School in 1975. He was a very kind and loving man with a heart as big as the sky and room in it for all. He had a very good sense of humor and there was never a dull moment with him in your life. He had a love for life and all those he met.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, camping, riding and working with his horses. He loved the outdoors so much that he spent over 30 years in the elements working as a skilled Brick Mason. He shared his Masonry talent with many, both on the job site and as an Instructor at Weber Basin Job Corp. He had a passion for brick work and enjoyed teaching it and talking about it at every chance he had.

Most of all he loved the Lord, his family and friends. No one ever went away a stranger. Jay is a member of the LDS church and truly believes in the gospel.

Jay married Connie Walker in December 1976, later divorced. On October 2, 1982 he married Jeri Lynne Clark. She was the love of his life and he hers.

He will be missed by all who had the opportunity to meet and know him. His nieces, nephews and granddaughters love him very much as he loves them.

Jay is survived by his loving wife, Jeri; sons, JR (Loreal), of SLC, and Andrew Jay (Brandy), of Hooper; his parents, Ward and Marlene, of WVC; brother, Loren (Nola), sisters, Rhea (Ray) Johnston and Susan (Brian) Eccles, all of WVC; sister-in-law, Jill Carter, of Ogden; brother-in-law, David T. Clark, of GA; four beautiful granddaughters, Dakota, Ara Michelle, Azure Leigh and Payson Lynn; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Grandpa and Grandma Adams, Grandpa and Grandma Swanson; many aunts and uncles who were dear to him; a father-in-law, Thomas L. Clark; mother-in-law, Janette Clark; and brother-in-law, Doug Clark.

When you think of Jay, smile and ask yourself, "What's not to love?" Jay we will all miss your presence, until we meet again! We love you!

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 25th at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

The family will meet friends for a viewing on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
