John William Primmer, 70, of Lafayette Rural Route 3, passed away at his home northeast of here yesterday evening at 6:55 o'clock, following an illness. He was a lifelong resident of Tippecanoe County.
Born Oct. 6, 1862, he was the son of William and Christina (Geyer) Primmer. At the age of fifteen months, however, he was left an orphan when his parents died within four days of each other, and he was reared by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Geyer. In his earlier life he engaged in farming and fruit raising, uniting in marriage in 1883 with Miss Mary Gushwa.
Surviving are the widow, who is also critically ill at this time; four sons, Walter, William, Charles, and Harry; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Davison and Mrs.
Floys Runkle, all living in or near Lafayette. One brother Noah of Americus, and twelve grandchildren.
