He was a lifelong resident of Caro. He served in the US Army during WWII. He retired from Caro Regional Center in 1982 after 31 years of employment. He was a life member of the Theron W. Atwood American Legion Post #7 of Caro. He is survived by his wife, two sons and one daughter; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson Michael Avery in 1991. Funeral services were Saturday January 4 at Colling Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. John Mellish officiating. Burial was in Indianfields Township Cemetery with military graveside services under the auspices of Theron Atwood American Legion Post #7. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
