Died Wednesday January 1,1992 at Saginaw General Hospital. He was 72. He was born Jan. 10, 1919 in Caro. He married the former Lucille Birk on June 12, 1940 in Caro. He was a lifelong resident of Caro. He served in the US Army during WWII. He retired from Caro Regional Center in 1982 after 31 years of employment. He was a life member of the Theron W. Atwood American Legion Post #7 of Caro. He is survived by his wife, two sons and one daughter; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson Michael Avery in 1991. Funeral services were Saturday January 4 at Colling Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. John Mellish officiating. Burial was in Indianfields Township Cemetery with military graveside services under the auspices of Theron Atwood American Legion Post #7. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
