Rest in peace, General. You were right, and Kilpatrick was wrong. Your charge in that battle was not worth the price that was paid. However, thank you for your service and sacrifice. God bless you for your gallant stand in defense of our Union against those who would have destroyed it. The Union forever!

Your sacrifice was no less noble because it was needless and ill-advised...perhaps even criminal. The ground upon which you died is unworthy of the effusion of your blood. Rest easy, sir. A nation honors your legacy.

Always remembered, always honored. Rest in peace, General. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. May God bless you for your gallant defense of our Union against those who would have destroyed it. Your commander should have led that charge; after all, an officer can delegate authority, but he cannot delegate responsibility! He did you wrong!

You completed your mission even though you knew it was suicidal. Gen. Kilpatrick was to blame, but you earned the honor. R.I.P. General.

The men at Little Big Horn did not give their lifes for nothing. Most Historians believe that this battle was the turning point in the war for the north. Without this battle, even thouth the war continued for 2 more years, General Lee saw the writing on the wall. Thank you sir, and all the other brave men who served with you.
