From Vera's obituary, found in the "Flint Journal," page D-5, 16 November 1976: ALLEN, Vera E. (Bee) - 1072 Forest Ave., age 79, died November 15, 1976, at Lafayette Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18, 1976, at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home, Dexter, Missouri. Burial in Parma Cemetery, Parma, Missouri. Mrs. Allen was born in Hunters Ridge, Missouri, March 23, 1897, and was a lifelong resident of Parma, Missouri. She was a member of the Parma Assembly of God Church and W.C.T.U. Surviving are: daughters, Mrs. Mildred Evans, Mrs. Alta Walls and Mrs. Nola Beard, all of Burton; sons, James Allen of Burton, Russell and Melvin Wilson of St. Louis, Missouri; 25 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Mrs. Leora Sexton of Canalou, Missouri; several nieces and nephews.
