Amy Leah Clark Joiner, 87, entered into rest on September 4, 2010.

Mrs. Joiner was born on April 1, 1923 in Princeton, Indiana, and graduated from Corona High School, California. She married Joseph W. Joiner on June 14, 1941, two days after graduation. She was an expert seamstress, creating designer formals for her daughters to wear at Rainbow Girl assemblies. She was active in sewing club, pottery making, and avid doll collector, and kept the family in touch and up to date with all members from Florida to California and all places in between including Canada. She never forgot a birthday and enjoyed celebrations of all kinds. She delighted in children and would be the first to offer help for friends and family. Amy was a Charter member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 351 and a member of Daughters of the Nile HA HISLA Temple NO. 98. She volunteered at Houston County Medical Center as a Pink Lady for thirty-two years where she enjoyed working in the gift shop. She often crocheted items to be donated for charities and social events. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Warner Robins where she taught Sunday School.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ronald J. and Grace Pearl Clark; sister, Rozella Bowler; brother, George Robert Clark; son, Joseph Ronald Joiner; and husband, Joseph Windle Joiner. -She will be greatly missed by all family and friends. Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughters, Linda Hall (Bill), Cordova, Tennessee, and Elizabeth Large (Jack), Jacksonville, Florida; son, Thomas Joiner (Glenda), Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Joseph Barrett (Gayle), Coconut Creek, Florida, Minnie Webling (Mark), Warner Robins, Sheila Cochran (Brian), Lexington, Kentucky, Brian Mitchelson, Warner Robins, Jason Joiner (Stephanie), Gray, Georgia; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

An Order of the Eastern Star graveside service will be held at 2P.M. on Saturday, September 11, 2010 in Magnolia Park Mausoleum, Reverend Missy Blumenthal officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital, c/o Al Sihah Shrine, P.O. Box 3147, Macon, GA 31205 (on memo line: "In Memory of Amy Leah Joiner").
