Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at Walnut Grove Cemetery at Corning. The Rev. Andrew Rubenking of Corning United Methodist Church will officiate the service. Open visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. today with the family receiving friends 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Service, 701 Seventh St., Corning. Memorials may be directed to Corning Nursing and Rehab Center or Corning United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Dory, daughter of Olive (Bowers) and William F. Heimke, was born Aug. 1, 1902, in Grant Township, Adams County. She graduated from Corning High School. On June 3, 1931, she married Rex G. Dory. She taught school 25 years. She was a member of Corning United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and United Methodist Women.
Survivors include two nieces, Mary Ann (husband Don) Cooper of Greeley, Colo., and Ruth (husband James) White of Livermore, Colo.; two nephews, David (wife Donna) Heimke of Pueblo, Colo., and Brian Stillinger; and numerous other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in November 1969; infant son Richard; two sisters, Blanche Heimke and Jessie Stillinger; two brothers, Dale Heimke and one in infancy; brother-in-law Frank Stillinger; and sister-in-law Ruth Heimke.
