Erline Mae Metts
Erline Mae Metts, 79, of Marietta passed away Friday (Jan. 30, 2009) at 9:45 p.m. at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 10, 1929, in Zona, W.Va., to the late Guy and Bessie Cutright Whited.
She graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1947 and was a respiratory therapist for 25-plus years at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by three sons, Michael, Gary and Rick (Kim) Metts, all of Marietta; daughter-in-law, Patti Metts; five grandchildren, M.J., Jessica (Brett Davis), Erica, Jacey Wolfe (Jeremy), and Jordan; and great-granddaughter, Kiera Wolfe.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Phillip Metts (May 24, 2001); and a sister, Betty June Whited.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday (Feb. 4, 2009) at Hadley Funeral Home, Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., with Dennis Frary officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday (Feb. 3, 2009) at Hadley Funeral Home, Reno Chapel.
