CLOVIS, N.M. - Haskell Eugene "Hack" Boydson, 78, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in The Chapel in Clovis with Jimmy Craven officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.

Mr. Boydston was born Nov. 5, 1931, in Branch, Ark., to Robert Asa and Jewell Dixon Boydston He served as an agent and telegraph operator. Later he became a dispatcher and retired from the BN&SF in 1993.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl; two daughters, Shirley Prothro of Clovis and Robbie Allredof Clovis; a son, Curtis Boydston of Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Velta Wester of Maysville, Okla.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to a charity of choice.
