Funeral services for Mrs. Nelma Woods Anders, 80, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2003, at First United Methodist Church in Minden with the Rev. J. Roddy Taylor officiating and the Rev. Lynn Malone assisting. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Cemetery in Ringgold under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Mrs. Anders, a native of Ringgold and a resident of Minden, passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, in Bossier City. She was a retired Webster Parish school cafeteria worker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmie D. Woods; and her second husband, the Rev. George "Andy" Anders; son, Jimmie N. Woods; five sisters; and three brothers.
She is survived by her son, the Rev. Dee Anders and wife Brenda of Cullen; daughter, Jackie Roberts and husband Jerry of Minden; extended family, Linda Fields and husband Bill of New Orleans, Lucy Braun and husband Kevlin of Ponchatula; brothers, Leo Crumpton of Ringgold; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Terry Davis, Keith Craig, Kevlin Braun, Dan Gonzales, Drew Carter, and Larry Woods.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Minden.
