Henry C. (Parker) Phillips, 81, husband of Emma L. Conklin Phillips, of Clouston, W. Va., near Cameron, died in the Ohio Valley General Hospital, at Wheeling, on Sunday, May 17, 1953, at 7 a.m. after an illness of the past month.

A well known farmer, he was born Jan. 12, 1872, in Greene County, a son of William D. and Sarah Cole Phillips and lived most of his life in the Cameron community.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Mrs. Floyd (Inez) Rine, Woodland, W. Va.; Mrs. William H. (Essie) Cumpston and Mrs. Russell (Opal) Bane, both of Cameron, R. D. 5; two brothers, Scott Phillips and Peter Phillips, both of Cameron; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Wilhelm of West Alexander; Mrs. Estelle Bartlett, Fairmont, W. Va., and Mrs. O. S. Clark, of Cameron. Fine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also are living.

He was a member of the Clouston Methodist Church and served for 13 years as superintendent of the Sunday School and was a trustee of the church for the same number of years. He also was a member of the Cameron Lodge No. 36 I. O. O. F.
