Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Ensor Leftwich, 76, who died at her home here Thursday night after a long illness, were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. A. Isbell and Mr. Isbell, of Cookeville, Friday afternoon. The services were conducted by the Rev. A. J. Morgan, pastor of the Methodist church, assisted by the Rev. Alonzo Harris and Elder Clarence Cooke. Burial was in the city cemetery.
Mrs. Leftwich and her husband M. H. Leftwich had been married 58 years. She had been a member of the Methodist church since a young girl, and until her recent illness had been a regular attendant.
With the death of Mrs. Leftwich, her sister, Mrs. L. T. Leftwich, is the only living member of a large and
well known pioneer family of this county.
She is survived besides her husband, daughter and sister, by three other daughters, Mrs. L. T. Stone of Cookeville, Mrs. V. D. Nunally, of Baxter, and Mrs. Clennie Huddleston of Buffalo Valley; four sons, Roscoe, Wirt and Solon Leftwich of Buffalo Valley and Guy Leftwich of Cookeville; twenty three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren
