Don Carlos Cheek Sr, age 65, died November 21, 2008 at Alive Hospice at Skyline Madison Campus, Madison, Davidson County, Tennessee. Services will be held at a later time at the Bluegrass Cemetery in Salyersville, Kentucky. Don was born on December 8, 1942 in Salyersville, Kentucky, the son of the late Cord Cheek and Rose
Marie (Howard) Cheek and the late Bill Delander of St Cloud, Florida.
On September 1, 1990 in Marion, Ohio, he married Ruby (Stacy) Cheek, who survives in Marion. He is also survived by mother, Rose Marie
Delander; sisters, Debbie Palmer and Pam Cain, all of St. Cloud, Florida; sons, Don Cheek Jr. of Springfield, Tennessee, Joe (Cheree) of Cedar Hill, Tennessee; daughter, Kim Cheek of Springfield, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Trey Cheek, Cindy Cheek, Katie Cheek, Kristen Cheek, Hunter Cheek, Kelsey Cheek, and Noah Cheek. Don served in the United States Army and worked as a truck driver with the Teamsters Union for 20 years, retiring due to his health in 2000. Don was a loving husband to Ruby, loving son, brother, father and grandfather. Don greatly enjoyed genealogy research. He loved and was loved by his family and all his friends on the genealogy sites. He is missed by all that knew him. Any memorial contributions are to be made to Alive Hospice Madison, Tennessee.
