Fry Triumphs in IMCA Modified Race

Despite five yellow flags, David Fry held his lead from
the second lap to win Friday night's IMCA modified A feature
at Tulsa Speedway.
Fry, driving the modified owned by sprint car driver Gary
Tapp who was seriously injuried here last month and is still
in the hospital, was untouchable despite a battle that raged
behind him.

Sunday night at Tulsa Speedway David Fry won the IMCA modified
feature during a special benefit race for his close friend
Gary Tapp. Friday night, Fry won again - this time for himself.
Fry took the lead from Dennis Sperry in turn four of the
10th lap and held on to win his second regular season feature
of the year. Sperry, who was bidding for his first victory,
held on to second.
