"While yet a lad he moved to Georgia and for years worked for the Southern Railway Company. He helped to build the Tallulah Falls Railway and was an official of this company (Road-Master) at the time of his death... About 2 o'clock 3-22-1906, his railway motor car ran into a farm wagon at the Ebenezer crossing. He was struck near the base of the brain, the concussion causing death at almost the same hour the next day. In business relations he was upright in all his dealings; respected, honored and loved by all who knew him."
