John Patrick came to America with his brother, TOM. They came to the United States through Ellis Island, June 2, 1901. John's original naturalization was December 20, 1902, but he became a naturalized citizen on December 16, 1914,Tarrant Co., TX. His first employment was with the Fort Worth Fire Department as a (water)wagon driver, working his way up in the ranks: promoted to Lieutenant, Captain, and Battalion Chief. He died of a heart attack suffered "on the job". His name is on the Fallen Heroes Wall in Fort Worth, Texas.
