Zula Sibyline "Sibyl" Brown, 82, of Memphis, TN, passed away on July 20, 2001 after a long battle with colon cancer. Sibyl was a loving mother and member of the Leawood Baptist Church in Memphis, and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 313. She came to Memphis from Mississippi looking for work and soon found a job at Sears and Roebuck Crosstown where she met her future second husband Horace Caldwell. She loved to sew and later became a retired seamstress. She also loved to make ceramics as did her youngest sister, Faye. She was preceded in death by her daughter Patsy Ann Means Sample and son Billy Kyle Means. She leaves two sons, Michael H. Caldwell (Peggy) of Bartlett, TN and John Brandon Means (Donna) of Memphis, TN; a sister, Eula Faye Brandon Crockett of Memphis and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Memorial Park Funeral Home, Memphis, TN with burial to follow at the Endville Cemetery, Pontotoc, MS.
