Isaac "Ike" Milo Sanders, 87, of Alpena died Thursday, Aug. 5 (2010) at Point Lookout Nursing Facility in Hollister, Mo.

The son of Marion Denton and Martha (Maggard) Sanders was born on July 28, 1923, at Venus, Ark.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, at Holt Memorial Chapel. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 9, at the Alpena Cemetery. Terry G. Burruss will officiate.

Isaac retired as a buyer from Mass Merchandising after 35 years of service. He was a farmer. Isaac was also an elder of the Harrison Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 35 years. He was a current member of the Alpena Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Fred, Rex, Ewell, Denton and Shorty; and two sisters, Jewel and Elva.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Joyce (Graves) Sanders of the home; two sons and their wives, Sandy and Gale Sanders of North Little Rock and Gill and Terri Sanders of Alpena; a daughter and her husband, Nancy and Ron Williams, of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Al Sanders, of Modesto, Calif.; seven granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Alpena Methodist Church.
