Pasquale served as a Sergeant & Radar Operator on B-29 "Gonna Mak'er" #42-65231, 871st Bomber Squadron, 497th Bomber Group, Very Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided at 129 West Academy Street, Albion, Orleans County, New York prior to the war. Pasquale was named after his grandfather who immigrated from Sicily to Albion, New York in 1907.

Pasquale was part of Mission 76-81. This mission included 112 B-29's tasked to attack Izumi airfield on Honshu and Kanoya, Kokubu, Nittagahara and Tachiarai airdromes on Kyushu. Pasquale's B-29 was one of two B-29's lost on this mission. The other was B-29 #42-63519 ( see below ).

Pasquale was "Killed In Action" during the war when his B-29 was rammed head-on by a Japanese Aircraft piloted by Lt. Mosaburo Yamamoto. This group of Japanese Aircraft, of which Lt. Yamamoto was the commander, were "tasked" with their only purpose being to ram as many B-29's as possible.

He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.

His remains were exhumed from a Japanese farm field and he was interred in the Yokohama Cemetery in Japan. He was later repatriated here on June 14, 1949.
