Thomas is the son of Lancelot and Mary Viverette of Northumberland Co., Va.
He married Elizabeth Hickman, daughter of Nathaniel and Sarah Hickman in April of 1774 in Edgecombe County, NC. They had 4 known children. (1) Henry who had no known children (2) Lancelot who married Mary Polly Hickman and died in Wilson County, TN. (3) Micajah who married Elizabeth Bond. He died in Alabama, but his family moved on to Wilson Co., Tn. (3) James who married
Fannie Blessing Mann. All of the Viverettes in Nash County descend through James.

Thomas was a big land owner and had a large estate when he died.

son Henry Viverett - land on south side of Little Swamp; negro man Jef. man Jack, woman Diner certain livestock, including a horse bought from Jacob Boyet, etc. Son Launcelot Viverett - land on both side of a prong of Town Creek; woman Cuffe, woman Old Bet, woman Anne, woman Sue, etc (Turner Place mentioned) Son Micajah Viverett - my land on north side of Tar River, etc; man Harry woman Little Bet, boy Nat. Son James Viverett - land where I now live; woman Pat and her first child Fillis, boy Mose, etc. Wife Elizabeth Viverett - lend to her where I now live, etc. Mulato child Jude to go to Patsy Dew.
