Rickarts information:
Served in Co. E, 1st Nevada Volunteer Cavalry, from his enlistment Aug. 1863 until his death by a pistol shot fired by Private Daniel Hughes of Co. E on April 2, 1865. It is not known whether this was an accident or murder. Cpl. Aikins was buried in the post cemetery until Feb. 1885 when he and the remains of 44 others were moved to this cemetery.
Now Because the Original Wooden Grave Markers were used as Fire Wood during the Years 1870-85 by some of the Local Ranchers, (I Hope The Boys Haunted their Sleep for doing that) So when Moving day came there was no markers so not know who was who, They Gave the Soldiers new Stone Markers that simply Read "US Soldier"

The Attached Photo of Corp. Henry Aikins is Courtesy of The Fort Churchill Museun and I thank them for letting me copy it for find a Grave.
