He was a member of Fletcher Church of God. He was very devout and strong in his belief as a Christian.
He enjoyed his work, golfing and was an avid fisherman. He was self-employed in farm equipment manufacturing.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Eileen Addis Anderson; son, Eldon L. Anderson Jr. and wife, Peggy, of Fletcher; two granddaughters, Tonya Allison and husband, John, of Hendersonville and Trena Barishnikov and husband, Dema, of Fletcher; two brothers, Lester Anderson and wife, Leona, of Marietta, S.C., and Richard Anderson and wife, Caroline, of Titusville, Fla.; two sisters, Ruth Jones of Davenport, Iowa and Jean Catour of Silvis, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service was held at Patty's Chapel in Fletcher. The Rev. Kenneth Lytle officiated.
Shuler Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
