FLYNN -- Clarinne Doris Flynn, 88 years, passed away February 13, 2008 at her home in Paradise Hills.

She was the daughter of Homer Albert Simmons and Orpha Macell (Carr) Simmons Cummins.

She was born in DeWitt, Arkansas, September 20, 1919. She was raised in the Stillwater, Oklahoma, area until her family moved to Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences), New Mexico, in 1937.

Graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1938. She moved to Albuquerque with her stepfather John H. Cummins and her mother. She completed her training as a nurse and later worked at Women's Hospital on Central Avenue.

Clarinne met and married Murray James Flynn and moved to Raton, New Mexico, where Murray worked for the Atchison-Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad. After a divorce she married Charles Augustus Bowen. Charles was an ironworker and they moved all over the United States and he worked in Chile, South America.
After the death of Charles she remarried Murray in Kansas after forty-six years.
Clarinne enjoyed watching golf on television and played Canasta at the Senior Citizen Center in her area.
Due to Macular Degeneration she lost her vision and stopped playing with her many longtime friends.

Clarinne is survived by her daughter, Nancy Lee and her husband, Ronald J. White of Monticello, New Mexico. Her grandchildren were Korina C. White-deceased-Austin, Texas; Bronson Bowen White and his wife, Selena of Dulce, New Mexico; Preston C. White and his wife, Theresa of Polvedera, New Mexico; and Michelle Y. and her husband, Michael Wimer of North Tustin, California; Her brother, James L. Simmons; and many nieces and nephews of New Mexico; and an adopted sister, Anita Wood and her husband, Dale. Her great-grandchildren are Skylar White of San Antonio, Texas; Sierra and Crystal White of Grand Junction, Colorado; Jeremy and Jaden of Gallup, New Mexico; Brice and Megan Hollingsworth; Gunnison and Preslee Clarinne White of Polvedera, New Mexico; and McKennon G. Wimer of North Tustin, California.

Clarinne will join her deceased family members in burial at the Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, 700 Yale Blvd. SE, Albuquerque, New Mexico
