Miss Josie graduated Rotan high school in 1923. She went to college at West Texas State. She taught 3 years in Scurry and Fisher counties, 2 years at the Harmony school in Kent county, back to college in the summer to get another degree, then back to Harmony.
The Harmony school was a small community and Miss Josie was a teacher and the principal. Her sister Miss Delilah was a teacher there.
The school eventually closed and Miss Josie and Miss Delilah became teachers in the High school in Rotan.
These two women were loving and careing. So many people were taught by them and those who were are very lucky to have known these wonderful sisters.
