Mrs. Dorothea Beil died at her home in this city at 2 o'clock. a.m. on Friday the 26th of Jan. 1906 after a short illness, aged seventy two years, , eleven months, and twenty five days.

Deceased was born in Liberotherlas Nassau, Germany on the 31st day of January, 1835. She was twice married. Her first husband's name was Held, who died in the early 60's. On February 1865 she married to George Beil with whom she lived until his death which occurred here February 17th 1899. No children were born to them and she is survived by no sisters or brothers.
The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the residence of the deceased on West Main Street to the Mascoutah City cemetery where the remains were laid to rest. Rev G. P A Schlass, of the Ev Luth church held the funeral services.
The following relatives were here and attended the funeral: Mr Michael Beil and daughter. Miss Anna Beil, Mr. George Beil, and Miss Emma Beil of Belleville, Mr and Mrs. Jacob Kreemer of Collinsville, Mrs . Joseph Beil, and Mrs John Totsch of E. St. Louis.
