Mrs. Ora Hixson
Mrs. Ora (Deshong) Hixson, 68, of Crystal Spring, died at her home April 10, 1959, after an illness of three years.
She was born Jan. 24, 1891, near Sipes Mill, Fulton county. She is survived by her husband, Blaine C. Hixson; four sons, Doyle Deshong, Fayettesville; John C. Hixson, Menominee, Mich.; Ross Eugene Hixson, Creedmoor, N.C.; B.J. Hixson, Chambersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Giordano, Brooklyn, N.Y.; two brothers, Watson Deshong, Los Lunas, N.M.; Ross Deshong, Hollister, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Apr. 13 at the Sipes Funeral Home with the Rev. T.P. Garland officiating. Interment in Akersville Methodist cemetery.

Ora had one child named Ellis Doyle Akers DeShong out of wedlock. His father was Vaughn Homer Akers who was b: 27 JUL 1891 in Akersville.
She marred Blaine J. Hixson b: 2 JUL 1893 in Fulton Co. PA, in 1915.

Ora and Blaine raised their small granddaughter Connie Jean Hixson Kriner, whose mother, Ruth Shockey Hixson, passed in 1949.
