Sarah was the 5th of 6 children & the only daughter born to Abraham Hendry(1822-bef.1870) and Mary Eloise "Polly" Sellers-Hendry in Greene County, Tennessee.

Sarah married Jesse Samuel Anderson on the 5th day of November 1883 in Greene County, Tennessee. They together had 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls: Arthur Lee, Maude Jane, Thorton Alvin(Nick), Walter Doak, Pearl and Effie Anderson, all born in Greene County, Tennessee.

Sarah and Jesse Anderson moved to Oklahoma(Indain Terr.), with all their children, aft. 1900, setting in Indian Township, Payne County, Oklahoma, purchasing 160.27 acres in the NE quarter of Section 8 in the Indian Township, Payne County, Oklahoma. Their family home is still located East of Cushing, Payne County, Oklahoma, in what was once Indian City, Payne County, Oklahoma.

Sarah passed away 5 months later after the death of her husband, Jesse Anderson, on the 8th day of Dec. 1930, in Payne County, Oklahoma.
