Felice J. Borek, 70, passed away Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital. A life resident of the Syracuse area, Felice was a communicant of St. Matthew's Church in East Syracuse. She was employed as a legal secretary with Peluso & Lynch Law Firm in Syracuse and enjoyed spending time with her family, writing poetry and drawing. Felice is survived by her daughters, Michelle (Michael) Roy of East Syracuse, Sandra (Michael) Shaughnessy of Minoa; her brothers, Anthony (Olga) Germani of Liverpool, Joseph (Marilyn) Germani of Penfield, NY; four grandchildren, Gary (Kim) Lucas, Alison Shaughnessy, Xu Zhi Shaughnessy and Jackson Roy; and one great-grandchild, Casey Lucas. Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Thursday from Maurer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, 229 W. Yates Street, East Syracuse. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 300 Second St., Liverpool. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Felice's memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Central New York, 731 James St., Syracuse, NY 13203.
