Rites Set
on Saturday
Funeral services for William Abeldt, Sayre, retired Rock Island railroad employee, who died at the Sayre hospital Friday following a brief illness, will be held Saturday at 2:30 p. m. in the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Theo R. Louthan officiating.
Born February 29, 1876 at Woodvine(sic) county,(sic) Kansas, Mr. Abeldt came to western Oklahoma and settled at Sayre in 1905 where he had made his home until the present. He was married to Jessie Garrison at Sayre September 18, 1909. He was formerly employed with the Rock Island Railroad 24 years. He was a member of the Sayre Nazarene church.
His wife and two sons preceded him in death.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. E. E. Hancock, De Kalb, Illinois; five sons, Vance of Haskell, Texas, William, Jr., of Arkansas City, Kansas, Harry of Waynoka. Walter and Albert both of Sayre; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
Pall bearers will be Fred Head, Billie Gilliland, Isaae Schmidt, H. D. Ely, W. C. Green, Harold Parker.
Honorary pall bearers will be A. D. Flowers, W. J. Bacon, Dewitt East, Hiram Ely, Frank Martin.
Committal will be in the Sayre-Doxey cemetery with the Moore Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
