Mrs. Jennie K, George 92, of 256 2nd Street SW, Carrollton, widow of Robert M. George, died Sunday in the Carroll Nursing Home, where she had been a patient for the past eight months. Born April 20, 1875, she was a member of Scroggsfield United Presyterian Church. A dressmaker before her marriage, Mrs. George always had sewn and also crocheted until a few years ago. When her husband died in 1929, she began quilting and had completed over 290 prior to her illness last year. Quilts made by Mrs. George are in use in several states and there are two in Hawaii. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Marshall of the home; a son, Robert of Marlboro; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Joseph and Bert, and a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Robbins. Services were Wednesday at the Sweeney Funeral home here with Rev. Thomas Redick officiating. Burial was in Scroggsfield cemetery.
