HOBBS, NEW MEXICO: Rev. Raymond Vernon Boatright died March 26, 1989 in Huntsville, Arkansas. He was born November 1, 1907 in Madison County, AR to Henry Miles and Hattie Florence Williams Boatright. He had made his home in Hobbs from 1947 to 1976, and was an ordained minister of the Assembly of God for 57 years. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Boatright of Huntsville, AR; a son, Kenneth Boatright of Grapevine, TX; and two daughters, Mrs. Dalphna Ruth Barnes of Houston, TX, and Mrs. Hazel Marie Carter of Lindsay, OK. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Hazel Blanche Lemons Boatright. Services were held at Griffin Chapel with his brother, Rev. Ernest Boatright, officiating. Burial was at Prairie Haven Cemetery by Griffin Funeral Home.
