SHIPPENSBURG Robert F. Killian, 74, of 606 Prospect Ave. died Monday in
Chambersburg Hospital.
He was retired from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg; was an Army veteran of
World War II; was active in various baseball organizations in the Shippensburg
area; and was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church, American Legion Post
223, the Shippensburg Historical Society, Hub City Club, Cumberland Valley Hose
Company, Shippensburg Fish and Game Association and Walnut Bottom Rod and Gun
Club.
Surviving are his wife, Marie E. Hunsecker Killian; a son, Robert L. of
Carbondale, Ill.; two daughters, Beatrice K. Hanlin of Harrisburg and Kathryn G.
Winters of Shippensburg; a brother, Donald R. of Upper Strasburg; two sisters,
Ruth Shoap of Bedford and Katherine Uglow of Fayetteville; and seven
grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in his church. Burial, with military
honors, will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Greene Twp.
