HOULTON - Vilda Muriel Daigle Adams, 72, went to be with her Lord and Savior, April 19, 2010, surrounded by her loving daughters and family, at home. She was born June 8, 1937, to James and Muriel Alward Daigle, and raised by her father and stepmother, Winni Kearney Daigle. She attended Houlton schools and graduated from Houlton High School in 1956.

She married Harold J. Adams and had three daughters. Throughout her years, Vilda was involved in numerous ministries working with the youth in Danforth and Houlton. She worked many years at Elm Tree Diner and managed Brenda's Place. After becoming a certified nurse's aide she worked several years at Madigan Estates. She attended and was dedicated to Houlton Wesleyan Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Skehan and husband, Jimmy, of Houlton, Donna Lord and her husband, Weston, of Danforth, and Deborah Rairdon of Houlton; her six grandchildren, Jessica and her husband, Chris, Jasmine and her husband, Bruce, James, Sasha, Isaiah and Lucas; a great-grandson, Caden; two loving sisters, Barbara Troy and Carole Felt; a special cousin, Sharon Rogers; and a caring friend, Marilyn Adams, among many other special friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her grandchild, Jayden. Vilda was a good and faithful servant of her Lord and touched many lives.

Interment will be at Houlton Evergreen Cemetery.(Bangor Daily News 4/20/2010)
