5 June 1970: Frank B. Hower, Myerstown RD 3, died Thursday afternoon in his home at the age of 91. Born in Lebanon County, he was a son of the late Wilson F. and Sarah Swartz Hower. A retired motorman, he was a veteran of the Spanish American War and a member of the Shirksville Mennonite Church. Surviving are four daughters: Flossie, wife of Norman Wealand, Jonestown RD 2; Mrs. Hazel Miltenberger, Myerstown RD 3; Dorothy, wife of Verbie House, Farmersville RD 1, Ohio, and Edith, wife of Howard Long, Beaver, Pa.; a son, David T.
