Smyrna Rest in Peace
Thomas West Lawler an aged citizen of Smyrna Township, died on Tuesday last the 11th and was laid to rest beside his wife who died twelve years ago, in the cemetery at Hopewell church last Thursday. The funeral sermon was preached by the Rev. Childs of the Baptist denomination of which the deceased was a member. The deceased was born on the first of March 1806 and had he lived till the first of next March he would have been 78 years old. He leaves nine living children, six boys and three girls all are grown and all are married except two boys and one girl.
