Anna Loella (Swearengin) Lathem, Springfield, Mo., passed away April 11, 2010, after a long battle with cancer. She was born April 13, 1937 in Springfield, Mo., to John and Frances Swearengin. Anna was a member of Campbell United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Brian Lathem; her parents; three brothers, Jack, Bob and Bill Swearengin; and three sisters, Rosalie Harris, Mildred West and Mary Lou Simmons. Anna is survived by her husband, Larry Lathem; a son, Craig Lathem of California; a sister, Gladys Danelenko of California; and one sister-in-law, Pam Swearengin of Springfield. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with Reverend David Van Giesen and Reverend Andy Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010, in the funeral home.
