End Came Monday At Home Near Tomlinson

Funeral services are being held at 10 o'clock this Thursday morning for Mrs. Mary Amrhein, 90, who died at 10 o'clock Monday morning in her home near Tomlinson. Rev. J. Fred Melvin, pastor of the Rantoul Methodist Church, is conducting the rites at this time. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

The deceased was born in Germany (August 24, 1845) and moved to her present home three years ago, after having lived thirty years in Champaign.

Surviving are the following children, John, Elizabeth, and Mrs. Cathleen Wilson, all at home; Mrs. Lena Saltzman and Mrs. Emma Smith, Fort Calhoun, Nebraska; Mrs. Mary Pickett, Iowa; and Mrs. Anna Swartz in Michigan. A half sister, Mrs. Eva Webber of Oakley, also survives.

Mary Ann Sanford was born on August 24, 1845, in Germany to Mary, age 25, and Jacob Sanford, age 25. She had three sons and seven daughters with Stephen Michael Amrhein between 1862 and 1878. She died on October 25, 1937, in Ludlow, Illinois, at the age of 92, and was buried there.Note: Ten known children were born to them.
