Jack, you had to know Jack to understand him, most people who did not know him thought of him as being a real grouch, but that was just a cover up. He loved children, whenever a child came to the house his eyes just lit up with joy, he was a coon hunter, a logger, a truck driver and he loved to play cards and dice.
He was my mommas companion for over 25yrs, until he died in their home from cancer, momma who was not really well at the time just seemed to go down hill after that.
Jack had the growling voice of a bear but he had the heart of a lamb.
We had our issues but after all was said and done we really loved eachother.
