Pictures on my wall.Pictures hang on my wall,Some are faded and worn,A few are brand new.Different frames show what's old and new,But what a frame and photo wont tell you.Is that each photo holds a memory,Be they good or bad,Each picture takes me back to important and special times that I have had,How strange to see faces now gone,Also those youngsters who were not born a year before,In some photos you can see true happiness without refrain,In others a broken heart lies behind a fake smile put on to mask the pain,Each photo a frozen moment in time,A keepsake that if treated well will last lifetimes,So wonderful the photos that hang on my wall,Showing my life and all those who touched it during that time,They bring me a smile and sometimes a tear,Yet I always want them with me,Those photos so dear. May you be blessed knowing you have given your angel happiness and love. I hope one of these lovely poems gives you comfort... Take care from the Selwyn Family xx I felt an angel. I felt an angel near today, though one I could not see, I felt an angel oh so close, sent to comfort me, I felt an angel's kiss, soft upon my cheek, And oh, without a single word of caring did it speak. I felt an angel's loving touch, soft upon my heart, And with that touch, I felt the pain and hurt within depart. I felt an angel's tepid tears, fall softly next to mine. And knew that as those tears did dry a new day would be mine. I felt an angel's silken wings enfold me with pure love, And felt a strength within me grow, a strength sent from above. I felt an angel oh so close, though one I could not seeI felt an angel near today, sent to comfort me.Anonymous If only. If only we could see the splendour of the land, To which our loved ones are called from you and me, We'd understand,If only we could hear the welcome they receive. From old familiar voices all so dear. We would not grieve. If only we could know the reason why they went. We'd smile and wipe away the tears that flow, And wait content.Anonymous I If I should never see the moon again. If I should never see the moon again, Rising red gold across the harvest field, Or feel the stinging soft rain, As the brown earth her treasures yield. If I should never taste the salt sea spray. As the ship beats her course across the breeze.Or smell the dog-rose and new-mown hay,or moss or primroses beneath the tree.If I should never hear the thrushes wake, Long before the sunrise in the glimmering dawn.Or watch the huge Atlantic rollers break Against the rugged cliffs in baffling scorn. If I have to say good bye to stream and wood,To wide ocean and the green clad hill,I know that he, who made this world so good, Has somewhere made a heaven better still. This bears witness with my latest breath, Knowing the love of God,I fear no death.Major Malcolm Boyd, killed in action in France, June 1944. If roses grow in heaven. If roses grow in heaven,Lord pleae pick a bunch for me,Place them in my Mother's arms and tell her they're from me.Tell her I love her and miss her,and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile.Because remembering her is easy,I do it every day,but there's an ache within my heart that will never go away.Anonymous. He is not lost our dearest love, He is not lost our dearest love,Nor has he travelled far,Just stepped inside home's loveliest room. And left the door ajar.Anonymous. Peace My heart:Peace, my heart, let the time for the parting be sweet.Let it not be a death but completeness.Let love melt into memory and pain into songs. Let the flight through the sky end in the folding of the wings over the nest.Let the last touch of your hands be gentle like the flower of the night.Stand still, O Beautiful End, for a moment, and say your last words in silence.I bow to you and hold up my lamp to light your way.Rabindranath Tagore, Bengali poet and philosopher (1861 - 1941)Silent tearEach night we shed a silent tear, As we speak to you in prayer. To let you know we love you, And just how much we care.Take our million teardrops, Wrap them up in love,Then ask the wind to carry them, To you in heaven above.Unknown

A reflection on a Winter's day. They say its late Autumn,Yet Winters grip is here,Red and brown leaves that weeks ago swayed beautifully,Now are grey and rotting away,Mild air is now frosty,Flowers are gone or wilting,The ground is hardening,The earth is going to sleep,Resting, waiting. For that spring day when it will awaken again,Yet for now,Only the evergreens stand out on barren landscapes,Their Berries are ripening,Blackbirds are flying,Robbins are perching,Winter is almost here,You can feel it everywhere, Snow will come and darkness too,Yet its so peaceful outside,So I find,That when this season appears,Memories of happier times with you,Surge to my mind as I watch the day quickly fade away, I can feel your peace as the earth drifts into its sleep,The evening draws you closer to me still,When in the crisp winter nights I see the stars and full moon sparkle so bright,I know your there watching me,Then later down the line we come to Christmas time,Which is always filled with bittersweet reflection,Yet also a time for wholehearted celebration,It will not be Christmas in the same way without you,Never has been and never will do.Yet it's still my most loved holiday date,Where we can just be happy and give thanks,New Years is a chance to start afresh,To wash off the years hard knocks and reflect,Winter may not be beautiful to some,Yet its still an amazing season filled with fun,Snow rides, Robbins, Woollen mittens, Christmas, New Years and Jesus,A month to give us hope and meaningful memories to treasure,In life its needed so much as it will stay with us forever. God Bless December. Copyright.Written by Ryan K Selwyn.Age 18. 29.11.2012. Goodbye Note. I sit alone,A tear rolls down my cheek,So I begin writing,Pictures are all I have of you,As the song says "What'll I Do?" You have left me with so many memories,Each one now a rarity,You have left me love,Such a special love,Which I will always treasure in my own heart,Yet sadness still comes,Without you around,You made my days brighter,More so then I knew,Yet I know we have to let go,Its never easy but your gone now,Up in heaven your with those we both loved,Your young, Good looking and happy, Finally at peace from a hard knock world,No more tears, No more hunger, No more pain,Never cold again, Always warmed by heavens homey glow,I think of you as I write this but that is nothing new,I thought of you when I was at the beach and shops too,I can see you up there now, Perfect peace all around.A beautiful angel part of the spirit world,You know that forever your a part of me,In my heart you can never die. NO, In my eyes your right here around me,When I see a beautiful flower and smile,You made it bloom to give my day some sparkle,When a rainbow appears you painted it in the sky,Love never dies and nether do you.Although life wont be the same,I know we will meet again. So sleep well and be happy dear angel,The moon hangs so bright in the sky tonight,How I miss you is unexplainable but the stars wink telling me its ok.There isn't much more I can say... apart from,Goodnight and Goodbye see you again someday. Copyright.Written by Ryan K Selwyn.Age 18. 29.11.2012. Title: That old mixed up poem: Oh immortal music,No matter how long ago,Still here to enjoy, No matter what happens to the singer, Music still sounds the same what joy,Generations gone before heard and so too can we,Something special shared eternally,Oh sunlight,Beautiful sunlight,Beam through the windows and give my day some life, Immortal sunlight here for all time,Oh memories,Brought on by life,Brought on by mind,Immortal never to die, Amazing life, Amazing life,Which works so fine,Everything in perfect balance,Angels on high sing and cheer,Glory on the beautiful day ahead,Peace to all,Praise the gentle wind,Praise the amazing little things,Each of which makes life worth living,The first snowflake or the first bloom,So amazing, So perfect.Amazing world, Immortal and yet perishable,Always mixed together for all time, Life no ways to describe you,Cruel, Kind, A jekyll and hyde!Oh well for now let us just smile,Love to angels past, Love to family present,May the best parts of life surround you, Never to depart and may your life be filled with the most special gift given,Love. The door flew open! A lady smiled at me "please come in," She said it with such joy,It amazed me!Where am I? I wondered. Just an hour ago I had fallen to my floor, Weak from life's tiresome storm, Oh well I thought, Yet when I walked into this so called room I found it to be huge,Stretching far and wide filled with many lives,A glittering dance floor packed with smiling couples dancing and swaying,Ladies laughing,Gentlemen smiling,Over to the right a huge crowd of animals where playing,Snuggling, Talking.I realised I was no longer frail and shaking! No it can't be I looked in the mirror and there was the young me,Suddenly I saw a spotlight form,It fell on a crowd of those I had known and loved long ago,Suddenly a feeling washed over me, I am home. I ran and met all the family of my past,Friends surrounded me,My dearest all around me,Each of us singing songs and praising freedom,United as one happy family in this kingdom,Only happiness in this never ending party,The feeling of warmth clings to me like ivy, How wonderful to be in heavens grand wonderland,So far from fates hard plans. By Ryan K Selwyn. A Reflection on an Autumn DayI took up a handful of grain and let it slip flowing through my fingers, and I said to myself: This is what it is all about. There is no longer any room for pretence. At harvest time the essence is revealed - the straw and chaff are set aside, they have done their job. The grain alone matters - sacks of pure gold. So it is when a person dies the essence of that person is revealed. At the moment of death a person's character stands out happy for the person who has forged it well over the years. Then it will not be the great achievement that will matter, nor, how much money or possessions a person has amassed. These like the straw and the chaff, will be left behind. It is what he has made of himself that will matter. Death can take away from us what we have, but it cannot rob us of who we are.God's GardenGod looked around His garden And He found an empty place. He then looked down upon this earth And saw your tired face. He put His arms around you And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful; He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering. He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never Get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids, And whispered "Peace be thine". It broke our heart to lose you, But you did not go alone. For part of us went with you The day God called you home.

I Am Always With You I am always with you When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do, You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears, But be thankful we had so many good years. I gave you my love, and you can only guess How much you've given me in happiness. I thank you for the love that you have shown, But now it is time I traveled on alone. So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must Then let your grief be comforted by trust That it is only for a while that we must part, So treasure the memories within your heart. I won't be far away for life goes on. And if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear All my love around you soft and clear And then, when you come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and a "Welcome Home". This quote/poem from the Fox and the hound dear angel never fails to tear me up and it always will do. Very special really. I send it to you today with love abiding forever. This quote/poem is so true it speaks volumes, at least it does to me even more so the last verse. R.I.P loved angel and in heaven may the sun forever shine upon you with golden glow. "We met, it seems, such a short time ago,You looked at me, needing me so,Yet from your sadness,Our happiness grew,And I found out I needed you too,I remember how we used to play,I recall those rainy days,The fire's glow,That kept us warm,And now I find, we're both alone,Goodbye may seem forever, Farewell is like the end, But in my heart's a memory, And there you'll always be."

A day in the world! I often ponder what goes on beyond the shores of our own homeland,Maybe one day I might explore. Still I know what a day in the world holds in store. So come with me on a wild ride… well each of our lives! In London a wife holds her husband's hand,Tears stream upon her wedding band, Softly she kisses him and says goodbye. Yet In America at that same time,A man has woken up restless and goes outside,Unaware he is about to have a bad day,His tires will be flat and his house burgled and yes work will be stressful. While his neighbour is about to become a mother at a local hospital,Joyous tears she cries as her new-born child makes this day forever bright,Then to Alaska where twins begin their first day of school.Hop to Canada where a man steps outside the church holding his beautiful bride at his side. While an old lady gets the news she soon won't be alive. In Australia a man walks through his door, Happy to be home from a long day's work,He hands his wife roses and they lovingly embrace,Who would know at another house 10 minutes away a picture flame flies through the air, The lady who threw it picks up her young son and storms out the door, Leaving her wedding band chucked upon the floor. Meanwhile in Japan a man gets the news he is going to be a dad! While in Singapore a singer creates what will soon be a hit number 1 music draw,Jump to Ireland where tears stream from children's face as their Grandfather is laid to rest.Yet then to Northern Ireland where a lady has just unpacked her last moving box.She toasts to a good day!In Malta a couple buy a puppy for their children to celebrate their recent success. While in Germany a man has his house repossessed. At a China music scene people grove the atmosphere electric as they dance and move, Then we step to Hawaii where a woman has been told she is a great grandmother once more. Scoot to Russia where they are holding a festival for those from the war,All around the world, every single second,Fireworks explode and people text on phones,They go through Shopping centres; hospital visits day dreaming and work trips.Meetings friends you will keep for life, changing ideas after a long time,Deaths and births, Marriages and break ups.All happening at the same time as this moment all around the world.Animals also have their share,Zoos continue to amaze,While herds of cows, sheep and deer wander the earth. Guinea pigs are brought to new homes,While fish are trapped in nets and birds fly into homes,Life explodes everywhere, every moment, every place, No time to stop in this fast pace,What affects one, rarely affects all, Airplanes cry above us, boats on our waterfront. LIFEIt's the ever immortal and powerful drive,A drive that extends above the clouds,Into a world we have yet to realise,Where soul's dwell,They watch the mad rush that goes on around the world.Laughing, crying, gasping but loving aloud,The unexpected, sometimes cruel and beautiful life. They cheer us on as we continue the small daily fights. Those fights that make up life,It's the only backdrop we have known. As for those who question life's dice throws,The Why's cannot be explained or answered here,There is no point trying to rack your brains,Just float along and enjoy the days.Poem 2:Each life is like a book,We each have our own pages to fill in, Some of us are stopped before the first chapter can begin, Some have to publish a sequel or else the book will be too big!Our knowledge, fears, memories are filling the pages,Our experiences, feelings, hobbies and amazing moments,Also take up page by page of our book. Some books are lovingly written with a steady hand,Others are harder to understand,Each book contains messages unique to its writer,Every book is a treasure. Now think of your family here and to come as the library,Leave your book inside that library next to your ancestor's ones,So each generation can come and learn lessons from past ones. We can only hope that our chapters are happy and the ending as sweet as the beginning, Bless you dear friends and may your book be long and the best always yet to come! Soar forward and let me go,Keep the memories that we shared,But keep me in heart, Not mind you understand,Drop me like a penny into the stream,Like a bird set me soaring free,Hold onto the love and special times we had,Knowing I dont want to see you sad,I want to see you smile and watch you grow,Dont wither away and freeze in winter snow. I know you love me and know I love you too.Just please understand that:I dont mind you thinking of me,When long days are through,I understand sometimes you will feel low, Close the curtains and sit alone,Still come morning open them again! Let the sun shine in and see all I have left you. Dust away the past and dont let it pull you down,Go into the future and plan ahead now!I will be the one cheering for you in the crowd,I will be holding your hand when times are rough,It doesnt take sight to know there is still love.Love between us,I will keep a watch on you each day,No it wont be easy at first,Times wont always be perfect and things not always at hand,Still you will be rewarded in more ways than one,One day far into the future, When Happy and beautiful memories you have,To look back on,Long after this sadness has passed,Those memories Will make you so proud, not sad.To know you have survived lifes hard plans,I will still be there holding your hand,Feeling so proud of you myself,I will smile at you,As we step together many years later,Into a better promised land. Autumn day's:Autumn days are here again! Cosy evening's by the fire,Apple crumble and pumpkin pie,Leaves of breathtaking colour, Perfect tempretures set between winter and summer.Children playing in piles of leaves,More striking sunset's and gentle autum breeze, Plentiful food so many different types to choose,Such an amazing time of year, When little birds like robbins come out to sing,School bells again start to ring, I find it truly amazing that to some,The season of Autumn is looked upon as glum, Normaly because day's of summer so often yearned for pass away,Yet to me the Autumn is a magic time,A new breaking of day,Where star's twinkle more each night,Where time stops and turns back the clock,Magic moments that remain from a child,Family stepping in wearing coats, gloves and different hat styles,Forest walks watching hedgehogs and hares darting across rainbow coloures,Jumping in mud puddles and kicking up leaves,Not to mention watching little birds carefuly collecting twigs,There are so many more moments that can also be gleamed,For Autumn is a precious time,Where the land is blessed with more vibrant colour and life,It may just be me but when I see the first leave begin to tinge I shout yippee! For Autumn springs happiness and memories precious to me,It is also a well known fact that during this season filled with enchantment,Angel's loved so very much come down and spread all their love,Not just during Autumn but into each season and each exciting part that it encaptures within its heart,Angel's up above then watch the mix of colours that blaze from the world,Then they smile at us from their perfect home, Set in a better place, far above our own. Copyright. Written by Ryan Selwyn for Nanny Rose Selwyn who loved the changing colours in the leaves and each season that life would bring. Love to all angels that are treasured so dearly xx

We tried so hard to keep you,To capture every moment and pull you close,We told ourselves we would not let you go,Like a delicate flame we kept you sheltered from the wind,Just encase it might blow you out one night,Taking your light out of our line of sight, We prayed and cried, Trying to make sense of this seemingly senseless fight, Little did we know that it was to be in vain, For we can see now we had no idea,That God had commanded his angel's to sing. Angel's with voices so soft and dreamy, Angel's you used to know with voices on this earth that where heavenly,Softly and sweetly they sung a tune,A tune that lives unknown within you,A lullaby like your mother would sing for you,A warm song to make you feel safe, It starts off as a hum and then roams around your ear drums,All we could do was sit by your side, Or hear the news at a later time,Tears pouring from both eyes, For nothing can be done when those angel's harmonize,They drift you into peace with each line they sing,Then they whisper "Come to rest, let peace be a part of thee."Then you cannot resist for a moment more, Your soul is carried away on the winds of time,Down to the ocean where the breeze blows wild, Your soul is placed into the ocean,Then with each wave that washes over you,A refreshing light awakes within you,All the while the angel's still sing,Relaxing your every whim,Then the wind's of time the angel's blew,Comes back to get you,Softly you are lifted up, High above the sky,Into lands that mystify,There angel's still sing that joyful tune,Louder as you get closer and closer still, Then suddenly they stop as you enter, Enter a place more incredible then a breathtaking picture,For they all come to greet you,Shaking your hands and welcoming you to your forever home, No more problems there, Just a place to happily roam. God Bless Angel's they are always watching over us. Ryan K Selwyn 30.8.12 copyright.

Look for me in the beauty,The beauty that surrounds life each day,That stands against the world's dark times, Yes,Look for me in that beautiful sunset,Or the sun shining down through the tree's green leaves, Look around and see me,See me in the purity of an animals heart,In the flowers that bloom in more colours than a rainbow for us,See me in the fields of grain that so gently wave,In the silent movement of birds in soaring flight,In the gentle twinkle of starlight, Look for me in smiles that gleam and look for me in the gentle rushing of water in a stream,Please do look,For if you Look for me you will find,My place is still right by your side and that forever and always,It is beauty much like I brought to you, That still surrounds you in life. Before I die, I want your laugh to light up the room. In the lovely way it always used to, I want your hand to touch mine, as it will make me happy inside. I want so many things, That I can still see so well, But everything I want still lead's me back to one thing...YOU. Stretching far and wide,Across my mind.Everything about you I miss so much,I would give everything I own for just another hour of your love,However this cannot be... So I will take the long road, just as you had to do and you watch as I Get back onto the horse in style, I know you will be proud of me and will whisper see you in awhile, Soon enough I will begin Counting the time until again you are mine and When that time comes, Life will be Sublime,X God Bless All Angel's Including Mine X Written By Ryan S.
