1905- Rhine news.Died Monday- Jacob Mantz (as spelled) Monday morning in the Northwestern part of the town and the funeral took place Wednesday. Rev. B. Vogelsang conducted the services.

The death of Jacob Mantz (as spelled) occurred at his home in the town of Rhine on Monday, April 10th aged nearly seventy-six years. Funeral took place at the Evangelical Church, Rev. Vogelsang conducted the services. deceased was an early settler of the town.
