G. Delbert Bottum, 58, of Tulare, SD, died Saturday August 25, 1990 at Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD.

Delbert was born January 18, 1932 at Redfield to George R. and Madge (Morrow) Bottum. He graduated from Redfield High School in 1950 and lived his entire life on the family farm.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 in Japan, during the Korean conflict. He married June (Freeburg) August 13, 1953 at Frankfort.

Delbert was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Tulare, the Masonic Lodge No. 202, and the OES of Tulare, American Legion Post No. 57 of Rockham. He served as treasurer for Burdette Township (Hand Co.) for many years. He was a member of the James River Cattle Marketing Association, and the Frankfort Flutterwheels Square Dance Club.

He is survived by his wife, June; two sons, Daniel and Dean both of Tulare; one daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Doreen) Binger of Tulare; eight grandchildren; two brother, John of Arlington, VA, and Richard of Tulare.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
