Rites Held for Mrs. M. Bufkin
Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Bufkin, 86, were held at 2 p. m. Thursday, January 25, from Satterwhite Funeral Home chapel at Breckenridge. The Rev. D. H. Anderson, pastor of the Rose Avenue Baptist Church, officiated and interment was in Moran Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Bufkin, a long-time resident of Stephens County, succumbed on Tuesday, January 23, in a Breckenridge nursing home following a lengthy illness. She was born July 19, 1881 in Falls County and was a member of Rose Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Onie Fry, of Wilder; four sons, N. B. Bufkin of Baytown, E. E. Bufkin of Hearne, D. F. Bufkin of Breckenridge and J. M. Bufkin of Moore, Oklahoma; 20 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mary Freeman of Houston.
