Susan Alice (she went by her middle name Alice) was the sixth of eight children born to Michael, Sr and Elizabeth EYLER Morrett.
She was married at the age of 20 to Robert M. CAPLE on 21 Nov 1872, in Miami County, Indiana, USA. Robert was killed in a wagon accident in Meriden, Kansas, at the age of 35.
They had two children together:

Alice's second marriage at the age of 35 was to James Vernon HATCHER on 29 Mar 1888 in Jefferson, Montgomery, Kansas, USA. They were divorced in Oct 1891.
They had one child together: Myrtle HATCHER Plumber.
Alice's third marriage at the age of 42 took place on 11 Nov 1895, in Shawnee, Johnson, Kansas, USA, to George Washington Whaley. George was 55 years old at the time and had been previously married to Mary L. Underwood. They had had nine children together.
George and Susan Alice had no children together. Our family always referred to her as "Grandma Whaley" in her later years.
Cause of death: Stomach cancer.

Once more the angel of death has visited our midst & taken from it one that was loved by all who knew her. God in his wisdome has sean fit to remove this earthly flower and transplant It In the garden of god there to bloom for ever & ever. Alice Morrett was borne near Aaron, Indiana Nov. 20, 1852, died Feb. 7, 1918, aged 65 years 3 months 17 days.
In the month of Nov. 1872 she was married to Robert Caple, and to this union was born 2 children. In the fall of 1876 they moved to Jackson County, Kansas, and settled on a farm 5 miles west of Meriden. [They] Later moved to farm 3 miles east of Meriden. In the year 1885 Mr. Caple died after spending several years on the farm with the 2 children.
She was married to James Hatcher moving to a farm on the Delaware River, and to this union 1 child was born. In the year 1894 she was married to George Whaley moving to Dearborn, Missouri where they lived untill Mr. Whaley's health failed they moved to Meriden. In the year 1914 Mr. Whaley was called to his heavenly home.
For 4 years Mrs. Whaley lived at Ft. Dodge, Kansas. For the past 2 years she has made her home with her daughter at Perry, Kansas. In December of the past year she went visit her _____ and while there she was seized with her last sickness.
