Margaret Peggy (Duran) Bagtaz, 75, died March 5, 2010 after a routine surgery. She was the wife of 56 years of Robert Bagtaz Sr. Born in Boston, she was raised in South Boston and attended St. Brigid School. She was a graduate of Nazareth High School in South Boston. A homemaker and mother to six children, Mrs. Bagtaz was a resident of Stoughton for over 36 years, before retiring to Florida 12 years ago. She was a member of the Womens Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 117 in Palm Bay, FL. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her six children: Robert Bagtaz of Brockton, Jo Anne Gambrazzio of Berkley, Paul Bagtaz of Avon, Mark Bagtaz of NH, Eileen Pina of Rochester and Richard Bagtaz of Stoughton. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren many nieces and nephews along with brothers and sisters. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Brigids Church, 841 East Broadway, South Boston on Saturday at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. Donations in Peggys memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
