Alvarado was born on Sept. 7, 1957, in Kingsville to Enemencio and Matilde Alvarado.
He was a former Kleberg county truck driver and 18 years with Riviera Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Mayra L. Alvarado of Riviera; two daughters, Andrea L. Alvarado and Adriana Alvarado, both of Riviera; one brother, Guadalupe (Rosa) Alvarado of Kingsville; two sisters, Enedelia Barraza and Maria Linda (Henry) Hagan, both of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held March 4 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home in Kingsville.
A rosary was recited March 4 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A funeral Mass was held March 5 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission Church with the Rev. Peter Anthony officiating.
