I believe Mary Pinchot Meyer, a relative of Gifford Pinchot, is also buried in Milford Cemetery. Mary was the victim of a murder which occurred October 12, 1964 on a walking path near the O&C canal in Georgetown, Washington, DC. Mary had an interesting life which Nina Burleigh has written about in her book: "A Very Private Woman." Hopefully someone who reads this and lives near the Milford Cemetery might create a record for Mary Pinchot Meyer.

A model human being who with President Theodore Roosevelt, gave the nation the national park system and fought against the exploitation of those federal lands. This was a legendary conservationist (he headed the Dept. of Forestry)and warrior against political corruption. Both he and his wife, Cornelia Pinchot, deserve to NEVER be forgotten due to what they did for our country. Profound respect is due them both.

Remembering you on the day God called you home. I apologize for not having visited your grave for all the years I lived in Dingman's Ferry. Next time I'm in Milford I'll stop by. May God's love and mercy shine upon you always.

Hope that what they say about you and incarcerating Pep is a mistake. A man who sounds so great would not do that. Rest In Peace Sir.

Spero che non e' vero che hai incarcerato un cane per aver ammazzato il tuo gatto. Quello sarenne veramente una grande cavolata. Che Dio ti benedica e perdoni.

Rest in Peace Gifford. We could sure use some "leaders" with your pizzaz now. Too much political correctness and not enough good ideas put into action to benefit those who can least afford it. Good Job, you should be proud.
