Kathern B. Macklin, for the past 5 years principal of Middletown elementery school, died June 14. Born in Idaho, 1903, she came as a small girl with her parents to Middletown. Graduate of the local schools, she had her teacher training at San Jose, then taught in Westwood, Ukiah,and Middletown, where she also served as a member of the County Board of Education.
