Belle was born to William Roup and Mary Potter-Roup on November 19,1881 in Iowa City,Iowa.She received her education in Iowa City,Iowa and in Nabraska.
She was married to her first husband William Ogen in 1900.They had one child a daughter that passed away from an illness when she was very young.William also passed away.
She moved to Webster City, Iowa. were she worked as a housekeeper for Rev.William David Adams (everyone called him W.D.)He was the Revernd of the United Brethren Church in Webster City,Iowa.They were married on May 22,1937.The couple resided in Webster City,Iowa.Belle was very loved by her new Adams family.Even though at first some people thought it was terrible for Grandpa W.D.to remarry.William's Children and freinds all learned to love her.The grandchldren and great grandchildren all loved her and called her Grandma Belle. W.D. passed way on Friday March 19,1954 at there home north of Webster City on White Fox Rd..And is buried at Graceland Cemetry inWebster City,Iowa.Belle lived at their home on Fox Rd. for many years.Then moved to the Crestview Care Center in Webster City were she resided for 10 years.She then moved to the Stratford Care Center,were she resided until her death on Monday December 17,1984 at the age of 103 years.She was the one of the eldest liveing residents in Hamilton County, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Roup,four brothers and one sister.Her first husband William Ogen and a Daughter.Her second husband William David Adams (W.D.).
