Georgia Ann "Annie" Simmons was the daughter of Allen Gassaway Simmons and Mary Polly Cleveland of Crawford County, Georgia. She was married to John Benjamin Maynard. They lived in Monroe County, GA and later in Whitfield County, Georgia. After her husband's death she went to live with relatives in Manningham, Alabama.
