DIES AT RIPE OLD AGEH[S]iram Offenbacker, aged 72 years, died at his home near Alma, on Sunday, December 29th. Mr. Offenbacker was a gallant ex-Confederate soldier and served throughout the war between the States with honor and distinction. Mr. Offenbacker made his home with his sister Miss Sallie Offenbacker who survives with, Mrs. Henrietta Foltz and Mrs. Adaline Davis, both of Honeyville, Kan., and Mrs. John W. Phillips and Mrs. Geo. Good, of Stanley. Mr. Offenbacker had been a great sufferer for a number of years with Bright's disease which was the cause of his death.Page News & Courier, Friday 3 Jan 1919
